MAKING SPACE & the WALK THIS WAY workshop

July 29th, 2019

Milk Café, Glasgow, UK.

Making Space was a community workshop series supported by the Fruitmarket Galley and The Arab British Centre. The 6 part series was initiated by curator Katherine Midgley, and co-curated and co-organized by artists Lillian Ross-Millard and Rosa Farber. Making Space was a series of workshops for women (self-identifying inclusive) and non-binary folks to explore politics, public space, and community organising together in a supportive environment.

'Making Space 4: Walk this Way’ was delivered by Lillian and hosted by Making Space at MILK Cafe. An evening exploring movement and gesture, centred around the theme of neighbourhood. The workshop included a series of movement and writing exercises, reflecting on daily actions within local communities, and a silent walk through the Govanhill, Glasgow neighbourhood to further explore our everyday engagement with public space.
