Blue Smoke is a new moving image work commissioned for Company Town. Blue Smoke is a moving image work that weaves documentary with dream logic. By combining virtual space with video, an uncanny panorama unfolds. This hybrid space is both lyrical and horrific, and echoes the complex legacy of Peterborough’s General Electric Factory.

Company Town is an online installation that maps the complicated remnants of the (now closed) General Electric factory in Peterborough/Nogojiwanong. The project was initiated in conjunction with collaborator Anne White’s 2019/2020 residency at Public Energy Performing Arts. The concept was developed collectively amongst the five contributing artists: Anne White, Ann Jaeger, Miranda Jones, and Lillian Ross-Millard.
